The Mobile Area Council of Engineers (MACE) was founded in 1967. MACE now serves as a 501c3. The board recognizes Engineers in the community for their achievements and leadership. The annual awards provide an opportunity to encourage excellence through the identification and promotion, both within the profession and the community at large, for the outstanding accomplishments in the advancement of the science and practice of engineering in the region. MACE not only supports the engineering community, but also STEM activities such as MATHCOUNTS, University of South Alabama engineering scholarships and other projects.
